Titanium nitride is superheated to its plasma state and shot at the metal inside a vacuum chamber. Sounds hardcore, right? The coating bonds to the surface at the molecular level, creating a layer of ceramic that’s scratch and tarnish resistant and won’t flake or fade. PVD coating is free of toxic chemical leakage and there’s little to no waste, making it a lot more environmentally friendly than other surface treatments.
