Description
King Olaf Guthfrithsson, ruler of Dublin and Viking Northumbria in the 10th century, had this coin cast. It’s known as the ‘Raven Penny.’
The letters ANLAF CUNUNC (‘King Olaf’) in Old Norse surround a raven with open wings. The raven is an iconic symbol of Odin, the Allfather, chief among the Old Norse gods.
Constructed in tarnish-free stainless steel and fits any chain or cord of up to 1/16″ (2 mm) in diameter. The back is polished to a shine.
